Germany have been one of football's perennial winners when it comes to international football whilst the French have been one of the favourites for every tournament ever since their World Cup win at home in 1998.
Right now the two countries have some of the most ridiculous depth going and today French newspaper L'Equipe showed off their countries options by printing three different teams, that would all beat England:
This evening against Germany the pair both started, with several stars rested, and the United man baffled the German defence to set up the Arsenal record signing for one of his easiest finishes:
Ever since he made his surprise move from Monaco to Manchester United on the last day of the summer transfer window in 2015 Anthony Martial has been showing the kind of talent that could make him one of the world's best.
When Louis van Gaal signed him from France for an initial £36 million the forward was pretty much unknown and it was seen as a 'panic buy' and roundly mocked but he soon put an end to that.
The incredible moment
On his debut from the bench Martial scored a late and brilliant
winner against Liverpool to prove the doubters wrong and make him an
instant hit for fans at Old Trafford.Under Jose Mourinho last season he seemed to be getting less football and his future was questioned but this season, despite swapping the starting spot with Marcus Rashford, the Frenchman's form has seen him become one of United's best players.
He still needs to show it more often but there's little doubting how good he is!
